I provide therapy for families, couples, youth, and adults who wish to make changes in their lives and relationships that are long-lasting and positive. I offer safe, compassionate, and collaborative psychotherapy in an atmosphere that deepens understanding, improves communication, promotes healing, and releases potential.
I am experienced in working with a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families, with a wide range of difficulties and have profound respect for all lifestyle choices, cultural backgrounds, and identities.
At times, we encounter problems so difficult that all our best efforts don't seem to resolve them. The difficulties created by these problems can stifle creativity, confidence, ambition, our ability for good relationships, and keep us from reaching important life goals. Trauma and loss can cause sadness, depression and pain that inhibit and block. It is in these moments that therapy can be amazingly helpful.
As a narratively informed, integrative psychologists I work collaboratively with clients and their families, extended family networks, friends, coworkers and community members using non-pathologizing style of talk therapy and other techniques, such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness approaches, and others that will most directly deal with the issues at hand.
My interpersonal style is direct, curious, compassionate, calming, culturally sensitive, and respectful of personal values, belief systems, and lifestyles.
